Quests and NPCs

NPCs offer conversations, quests, and other services around the world. Interact with them to see what they have to say and choose from the dialogue options.

An indicator above an NPC can show that a quest is available or ready to hand in. Read the objectives and return to the appropriate NPC when you finish. Quests are offered and progress in the permanent main world.

Your journal

Use /quests (or /q) to open your journal. It shows your quests and their progress. Use /quests track <quest> to follow a quest and /quests abandon <quest> to leave one. /quests top shows the quest leaderboard.

The journal also shows quest points and a diary of your latest completed quests. Its collections section records discoveries: picking up certain items for the first time reveals a regional field note. Open the journal to see the notes you have found and your collection count.

The quest board offers daily and weekly tasks. Daily tasks reset at midnight Pacific time; weekly tasks reset on Monday. Nearby players with the same active objective can share credit for kills and pickups.

Some NPC replies are generated by an external provider. What you type to NPCs may be sent to that provider, so do not share private information in a conversation.
