Managing a shop

Keep a chest shop stocked and funded so customers can complete the trades on its sign.

See Player shops for the sign format and trade directions. Put the items you sell in the attached container. To buy items from customers, leave room in the container and keep enough crystals in your balance. Use /shop info while looking at the shop to inspect it. Break and replace the sign to change its offer.

Use /shop to check how many chest shops you own and your limit. Shopkeeper levels I through V allow 5, 10, 20, 35, and 50 shops respectively.

Tell other players where to find your shop and what you trade. Keep the sign and surrounding area easy to see, and update your message when your stock or prices change.

If a trade fails, check the sign’s direction and quantity, then check the customer’s inventory and balance as well as the shop’s stock, space, and owner’s balance. Each click trades the full quantity on the sign.

For example, a B 50 offer for 16 planks needs at least 16 planks in stock. The customer needs 50 crystals and room for all 16. For an S 40 offer, the customer needs 16 planks, while the shop needs room for them and its owner needs 40 crystals.

If you want to trade at your own shop, use /shop access to switch into trading mode. Use it again to manage your shops normally. This setting resets when you leave the server.

To look for a stall, see Renting a market plot. New rentals may not be open to every player.
