Playing in a shared world
The Storm’s survival worlds are shared and permanent, so your neighbors’ homes and projects are part of the landscape too.
A session can be as quiet or adventurous as you like. Gather supplies, visit a neighbor, or set out for somewhere new. At Spawn Town, Anna beside the windmill offers a daily reward. Check /quests for your journal or talk to other townsfolk for ideas.
In the main world, /crier shares the weather, game time, and a piece of Storm history. /crier digest reports today’s recorded activity, current weather, and the number of players online in that world.
Head home with /home, or use /rtp to find wilderness in Frontier. Improve your shelter, explore the live map, or choose another world for your next trip. If a trip goes badly, /graves helps you find your belongings; see graves before setting out to recover them.
Before building, check the chunk with /claim info. Build on your own land or ask permission, and give other players’ projects room. A claim protects space, but an unclaimed build can still belong to someone. The first-session guide explains how to start a camp.
Leave other players’ animals, pets, and villagers alone. Do not grief, harass, follow, or trap players. Unlocked containers are fair game where you have access, while locked containers are off-limits. Your own newly placed containers lock automatically; /lock info checks one you are looking at.
PvP is enabled outside protected spawn unless you opt out with /pvp off. You can change that setting once a week. See PvP and safety and norms for the rules and what to do if something goes wrong.
Use chat to coordinate a visit or ask about a build. /tpa <player> sends a request to visit; the other player chooses whether to accept. See travel for more ways to meet up.
