Sorting items

Use /sort to open sorting settings. Automatic container sorting starts off; /sort on, /sort off, and /sort toggle change it. When enabled, a container sorts as you close it.

To sort immediately, use /sort inventory, /sort hotbar, or /sort all. You can also sneak and punch a chest, barrel, shulker box, or ender chest with an empty hand to sort it.

See sorting controls for click shortcuts and settings.
